The Case of the Quote-Driven Product Selection

Our customer has a very specific way of Quoting.  Each quote will only cater to a specific product family – like a Software Quote, Hardware Quote, or Services Quote.  What that means is when the Sales Reps are adding the Quote Lines to these Quotes, they only add the relevant products. For example, a Software Quote will have only Software products (as defined by the Product Family).

So, quite naturally, the Reps have a small ask of you.

When adding products to a Quote they only want to see those products for which the Quote is defined. They really do not want to go with the bother of manually searching or filtering to the specific product family.

So, there you have it. Simple ask, and let us see if you are up to it.

You challenge should you choose to accept, is to do some conjuring and show only those products which match the product family for which the Quote is being sold and bring a smile to the Reps’ faces.
